Currently we have DDoS attacks/scans hitting infrastructure equipment that has caused us to revise some of our current network routing and security policies. These changes should go unnoticed for the most part however you may see a minute or two loss of connectivity at different periods throughout the afternoon as continuous changes are made to implement additional security measures and resolve possible routing vulnerabilities.

No customer data is at risk and there has been no breach of data or services. This is all due to specific DDoS attacks targeting critical network infrastructure which is either causing some intermittent routing or general degradation such as packet loss. The issue has been ongoing for nearly 48-hours now but the problem has now been identified and is being resolved. ServerOrigin currently has our entire support staff and all engineers working on this issue so ticket responses may see a short delay as we are working this as the absolute highest priority.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause as we know this time of year is particularly important for all of our customers. We are working feverishly to get the issue resolved and to ensure the least amount of interruption occurs while the changes are being made. We appreciate your patience and understanding. We will up-hold any current Service Level Agreements and ensure all customers impacted receive credit for any downtime during this emergency change period.

Thanks so much,<br

ServerOrigin’s ethProxy product is the largest globally deployed mitigation technology currently protecting more than one million domains. The load balancing solution will enable the customer to deliver their web applications in a fast, secure, and high availability (HA) model.

“This solution will allow businesses to scale without additional hardware and expensive maintenance contracts. One key feature is the ability to increase traffic instantly across an unlimited number of locations based on configured port, domain, or geographic location of the visitor. Combining the rock-solid stability of our ethProxy DDOS protection platform, intrusion detection, and traffic distribution; the choice is clear for businesses looking to uphold strict compliance while maintaining datacenter neutrality,” says Kevin Hatfield, CEO at ServerOrigin Communications. “I believe this is the next step for online businesses who look to cloud-driven environments for future growth. Scalable, flexible, and cost effective this solution will show a return on investment for most online companies within thirty days compared to the usual two-year churn on traditional datacenter equipment. ”

According to ServerOrigin, the new add-on is free with their ethProxy DDoS protection upon request. The service will feature full management and monitoring with a pricing model to fit customers of any size. Pricing is based on the ethProxy package selected, packages start at 250Mbps and can scale past 10Gbps.

About ServerOrigin Communications:

ServerOrigin Communications specializes in Enterprise-Grade denial-of-service mitigation and hosting. ServerOrigin’s core business is based on their ethProxy Mitigation platform. Services include distributed denial-of-service mitigation, AnyCast DNS, and intrusion detection. ServerOrigin utilizes more than 30 POP locations in the United States and the premium solution for companies seeking 99.999% service levels with protection against large-scale denial-of-service and intrusion-based attacks. Since its founding in 2006, mitigation provider ServerOrigin Communications has protected more than 1,000,000 domains worldwide. target="_blank" href="http://www.serverorigin.com/ethproxy-ddos-mitigation" target="_blank">ethProxy DDoS mitigation. More than 3 months of comparison testing shows that ethProxy provides the most accurate DDoS protection in the history of the market.

NEW YORK, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ — ServerOrigin Communications (http://www.serverorigin.com) is releasing the newest update for its ethProxy DDoS mitigation service. This update will enable ethProxy to be the first self-learning denial-of-service system on the market, making this the most advanced DDoS protection service available anywhere.

“This is the first time in the mitigation world where a product can be enabled on a site and learn the difference between good and bad traffic coming into a website,” ServerOrigin CEO Kevin Hatfield said. “Until now, providers rely on appliances or custom software which is based on hard limits and thresholds. This update changes the way the consumer should look at protection. We have successfully built a product which will determine anomalies based on normal traffic flow with strictly dynamic rulesets.”

Set up to use ethProxy is easy. Users simply point their domain at the IP Address provided by ServerOrigin Communications. Traffic is then filtered and routed back to the user. The user’s IP will be hidden and guarded behind the proxy solution to filter any malicious traffic before it reaches their server. Only clean, legitimate traffic will be allowed to reach the user’s web site.

“We have a multi-million dollar investment and hundreds of thousands of man-hours building out this solution. We are hands-down, the best,” Hatfield said. “If I didn’t believe it, we would likely be reselling a competitors product or not be in business at all. Instead, we are continually seeing growth of more than 200% each fiscal year in a time where the economy is unstable and many online providers are closing up shop. I believe it speaks directly to our dedication and quality that we bring to the table.”

Along with AnyCast DNS services through a partnership with DNSMadeEasy earlier in the year, the ethProxy service already stands as the giant in the business with fully automated datacenter failover and redundancy across multiple points across the United States, including Seattle, Dallas and Washington, DC. It also has the largest service level agreement from any DDoS mitigation provider, now at a 99.998% guarantee.

About ServerOrigin Communications:

ServerOrigin Communications specializes in enterprise DDoS protection and hosting, while ranking among the top DDoS protection providers worldwide. Services include CDN-based DDoS mitigation, AnyCast DNS, and intrusion detection. ServerOrigin utilizes more than 30 POP locations in the United States and is the premium solution for companies seeking 99.998% service levels with protection against online attacks as large as 30Gbps. target="_blank" href="http://www.serverorigin.com">http://www.serverorigin.com) is excited to announce our newest partnership and complimentary value-add to your ethProxy service. As many of our subscribers know first hand, we work very hard to increase your redundancy, overall availability, and website speeds. We believe we do an excellent job at increasing speeds for our users and delivering the superior uptime they desire. Unlike most companies, we do not hide our ‘hiccups’ or downtime. As rare as it may be, we are always looking for ways to identify problems before they occur.

Our DDoS mitigation service is a little different than most competitors, we don’t alert you with every little rush of data that may hit your site. Our ethProxy service is meant to be a fully managed services that is in the background. We are here to handle the attacks and intrusion-based attempts on your site so you don’t have to. We don’t want you to worry about whether your site is online and you should never have to worry whether we are meeting your expectations.

Now you say, “Why am I reading this? Why is this dragging on?”. We have a very simple answer, “Check this out!”.

If you have never heard of Panopta, they are one of the fastest growing availability and benchmarking companies on the market. Their service offering is above and beyond what we have found while working with other possible vendors. We have chosen their service and will be providing every ethProxy subscriber with their own login and password to the Panopta control panel. This panel will provide you limitless amounts of information on your website’s response time, uptime, etc.

We understand many of you may be wondering why we chose Panopta over other companies like Gomez and WebMetrics. It was a difficult decision! They all offer a ton of options and lots of useful information but only one met the needs for us to provide you a solution which we feel best represents ServerOrigin and our services.

Below I will list a few features and advantages with Panopta’s monitoring solution:

The most accurate monitoring service available. High-frequency checks mean your outages are confirmed faster and you are notified sooner in order to minimize downtime. Our notification system supports automatic escalation of outages to any number of people, and most packages offer unlimited SMS messages to ensure that your team never misses an alert.

Do more than just track downtime — give your team tools to more efficiently manage outages. Our outage management tools make it easy for everyone involved to work together, including system administrators, call center staff and management, to resolve problems faster without getting in each other’s way. Plus, all communication related to the outage is archived for future review and reference.

ServerOrigin will be creating your accounts over the next couple of days. Ensure your email address is correct, we will be sending your account information to your email address. And guess what? We do it while being cheaper than anyone else on the market with *real* protection!

–CEO Statement:

To explain the statement above with a little more clarity… I’d like to say that we monitor Google/Yahoo! on a daily basis and we’re watching our competition like any good business would do. We want to know what others are offering and we want to integrate their good ideas with our own. Why not? It works and it works well because we’re picking up corporate clients on a daily basis. In six months time we are protecting more website than the largest provider on the market (***lexic). We offer genuine no-frills DDoS protection that works.

You ask, “So Kevin what are you getting at?”.

I’m simply stating that we see DDoS companies show up every day. They drop $7,000 and buy an appliance with an honest plan to step into the arena of DDoS protection. The issue lies in the fact that most of those companies do not have expertise in this field and do not fully understand what they are asking for. They believe they can buy a 1Gbps appliance and protect 10 servers or half a datacenter and it just isn’t the case. ServerOrigin.Com gets hit with nearly 9Gbps attacks once a month. There isn’t an out-of-the-box appliance that scales into the 10Gbps market and provides enough protection to keep an end-server online. Our product is a creation based on countless years of experience and a multi-year effort to custom write a back-end clustered scrubbing/filtering environment that can handle attacks 8-10x as large as what hit twitter. We are more than 1 million dollars into this business with additional infrastructure being added daily to keep up with demand.

This market is being flooded with providers claiming to offer protection and it is alarming. It’s good for our business because they normally end up with us when the competitor’s product doesn’t work. Although, it’s the consumer that’s really getting the short end of the stick and it’s a shame to see so many people being taken advantage of in their time of need. We hope to change the way people see DDoS protection and we hope to show the masses that we will be the best available option on the market.

– Just a note to the consumer:

Please do your research before purchasing DDoS protection and don’t buy based on just how pretty the website is. It is almost like buying a car. Ask for a test-drive! I am unsure about other providers but I know we will stand up protection for you within 30 minutes! We will offer you a trial period and if we can’t stop the attack, you’ll never get a bill. We guarantee that we can stop your attacks or we’ll refund the entire amount. No other provider in the industry offers that guarantee.

Thanks for stopping by!

Kevin H.

<a

The changes from today include:

- Reduced possibility of false positives. Chance of false positives should be 1/20,000

- SYN Attack filtering updates - Several modifications directly related to how we identify and block DDoS SYN floods. Identification time has dropped rapidly and the ability to buffer such floods until the identification and initial block is nearly immediate.

- HUGE INCREASE IN SPEED! We have introduced new algorithms for caching static/dynamic website content. Current customers will likely see between a 50%-110% increase in loading speeds.

- Entirely new method of identifying UDP floods with much less resources. No delay should be seen on attacks as large as 10Gbps+.

- MAJOR UPDATE: Major update to the ethProxy engine. Faster request handling of HTTP/SSL requests as well as additional modules for filtering EMAIL. That's right, we can now filter EMAIL PORT attacks and proxy good traffic!

- Many many minor changes not worth listing here...

Please feel free to send feedback to support@ethproxy.com

Thanks so much!

ServerOrigin.Com – Website Stable after move

General Outages

Other Stuff

Upgrades

ddos

ddos protection

dns change

server origin

serverorigin

serverorigin.com

site migration

website hosting
<guid
