69.197.175.x: Server is currently down due to unknown reasons. Contacted datacenter to check the health of the system. Should have it up shortly, it does appear it may have lost power. This will affect a small number of shared hosting subscribers only. Please contact support at: support@serverorigin.com to place a ticket.

Customers on shared hosting servers across all of ServerOrigin’s U.S.-based servers may experience some slowness for a short period of time tonight. We’re going through each server and doing some security updates as well as some minor patches to Apache/cPanel/MySQL/PHP.

All servers are planned to be completed by 4AM CST 10/06/2009.

ServerOrigin.Com – The main website and billing system are down temporarily for a server upgrade. The site has been solid with 100% uptime for nearly a year but it is time to do some cleanup and repair a filesystem issue on the system.

Due to some routing changes shells/xanax have been rebooted tonight. Servers will be back up shortly and we apologize for the downtime. We are added some GRE tunnels and had to rebuild the kernels.

Maintenance is being run on our MYSQL server that houses billing information. The billing/ordering system may be sluggish or unresponsive for a short period of time.

This should be corrected within 15 minutes.

Xanax – Hardware issue

UPDATE 21:44 CST:

Box was rebooted as it seems to have had a panic possibly due to a FS error. Rebooted with completed fsck and it is now back online. Total Outage: 11 Minutes

Outage Update –

Datacenter had found that one of the harddrives were corrupt. We ran an filesystem check and then realized the drive had gone bad. We have moved all of the data from the old drive to the new drive and from backup. There was a backup snapshot taken 6 minutes prior so the data was solid.

Sorry for the delay and inconvenience this may have caused. Thanks to everyone for their patience.

Looks like shells.serverorigin.com has suffered a hardware failure. We are working to get it repaired now. It should be back up momentarily.
