Box rebooted for memory stick replacement that has gone bad. Sorry for any inconvenience. This seems to be an isolated issue with the server or its connection. This is not affecting other servers in the Sharktech datacenter. The Awknet datacenter has been affected by a fiber outage at WV. They are working to bring us up on Cogent until the WV link is repaired.

We are doing a quick maintenance in the Chicago DC to add more bandwidth and increase our throughput/reliability. This upgrade should be fairly quick and we apologize for any inconvenience you may see from the quick outage. The server will not go down, but the network connection will drop for a brief period of time.

Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience but that is one of the steps necessary in resolving some of the stability issues we have seen over time.

Chicago Server Disruptions

Hello,

As many based in the Chicago server have noticed some intermittent issues today, it is confirmed there is a bad switch in the datacenter causing the issue. It is to be replaced over the next 24 hours. I will keep you updated as we know more!

Datacenter – Issues

As of 9:22AM CST — Our servers went unresponsive in the SharkTech/FDCServers datacenter.

9:25AM CST — Servers back online — looks like there was some traffic being redirected — all servers are back functional.
