Appears an issue with a power failure at the datacenter. Backup power failed to kick-off for the cabinet we’re awaiting an update from the engineer checking to get it back up. This issue is affecting a small number of users.

We are excited to tell you that we have new equipment racked that is owned by ServerOrigin in the Netherlands Ecatel datacenter. These servers are 1Gbps connected with sheer ServerOrigin style, these are fully unmetered. We’re now including vePortal on all new nodes! If you are a current Netherlands/Germany customer and would like to be moved to the new Netherlands nodes, please place a ticket with support@serverorigin.com. This will now allow management for you to backup/restore/rebuild/reboot your own VPS without intervention from support. You can check out the client options available within vePortal on their site at: http://www.veportal.com/gallery.htm

Please understand there is one drawback to the move. We cannot migrate current VPS’ off older nodes due to the architecture differences between HyperVM and vePortal, we have attempted and there are always issues. If you would like to move your data, IP addresses, etc. Please let us know and we’ll get you moved over!

Germany is next: We have new servers being stood up in Frankfurt and should be available by the middle of this week. Once they are available and ready, we will be offering moves to the new nodes which will include vePortal management as well. We have had significant problems in the past several months due to the way we were partnering with other providers to offer services internationally. Due to those issues, we are now shipping our own hardware (New HP DL380 G6′s) to all international datacenters we serve. The servers will be configured with 1Gbps *DEDICATED* unmetered links with full 100Mbps links to each VPS on the node with average speeds planned at 60Mbps during peak times per VPS.
